YESS Power proudly expanded its strategic footprint in the Western
Balkans by participating as an Official Gold
Sponsor at the Macedonian Energy Forum
(MEF) 2026. Held on June 1–2 in Skopje, North Macedonia, this high-level forum
brought together regional ministers, industry leaders, investors, and
policymakers to discuss the critical mechanisms driving a resilient, secure,
and sustainable clean energy transition.
As energy storage continues to evolve from an emerging technology into
the ultimate enabler of grid stability, MEF 2026 provided an exceptional
platform to align regional clean energy ambitions with actionable
infrastructure deployment on the road to #COP31.
Actionable Innovation: Turning Policy Into
Infrastructure
A key highlight
of our participation was the forum's dedicated corporate sessions, where
industry frontrunners showcased forward-thinking commercial frameworks and
clean-tech solutions. Our General Manager, Sedat Akar, delivered a
groundbreaking corporate presentation highlighting YESS Power's engineering
excellence and real-world project execution capabilities in the region.
Sharing the
stage with prominent sector leaders—including Zoran Obradovic, Managing
Director of wpd GmbH Adria—the dialogue emphasized:
ü Deploying Utility-Scale Storage: How cutting-edge Battery Energy Storage Systems
(BESS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS) bridge the gap between volatile
renewable generation and grid capacity.
ü Strengthening Climate Resilience: Creating robust business cases that attract strategic
investment while safeguarding long-term asset performance.
ü Fostering Regional Cooperation: Driving cross-border synergy to accelerate the phase-out of legacy networks and build a flexible power ecosystem across the Western Balkans.
Collaborative Growth & Regional Hospitality
The vibrant
atmosphere over the two inspiring days in Skopje underscored that the clean
energy transition is a shared regional mission. Our engineering and business
development teams welcomed a diverse audience to our booth, exchanging
invaluable insights with key decision-makers who are actively translating
high-level green policies into grid-scale reality.
We would like
to extend our sincere gratitude to the organizers at MEF Energy Forum
and the ZIP Institute, with special thanks to Agim Selami for his
outstanding leadership, hospitality, and dedication to fostering such a
productive regional network.
Looking Ahead
Our role as a
Gold Sponsor at MEF 2026 reinforces YESS Power's ongoing commitment to powering
the Western Balkans' clean energy future. By combining our deep technical
heritage with advanced storage solutions, we look forward to converting the
inspiring discussions and new partnerships forged in Skopje into resilient,
real-world energy infrastructure in the months ahead.
